Happy Monday! Today's planner post is my review of the PPP Home Planner. I first used this planner in 2021. I received it as a gift, and I was so excited to use it. The checklists were really appealing to me. There's one for everything: from chores to projects to holiday planning. I never felt more organized in my home life, so I re-purchased in 2022. I didn't buy one in 2023, and I regretted it. My home has not been as clean and organized as I like, despite my best efforts.
Specs of the Passionate Penny Pincher Home Planner
The Home Planner is a Sunday-start, which may be an issue for some. If you buy digital, it comes with a Monday-start option. It has an horizontal layout, in addition to the checklists. The paper quality is superb, and I've never had any bleed-through, and very minimal ghosting. The planner is spiral-bound, which I love. The size is 8.5"x10", and is 1.5" thick. It's not easily portable, which may be a drawback. However, I prefer for this one to live on my desk, and I rarely take it anywhere with me. There are many choices for cover designs. You also get a sheet of stickers, a bookmark, and a folder in the back.
What Makes This Planner Special
As I already mentioned, the checklists are the star of the Passionate Penny Pincher Home Planner. There are daily chore lists, but also reminders to shower and exercise too. The daily chore list includes things like dishes, sweeping/vacuuming, making the beds, tidying main spaces, and dinner preparation. In the weekly section, there are suggested chores for each day. Here is where you'll find specific room tasks. There's other things on a bi-weekly rotation too, such as cleaning out your car.
The planner also includes a weekly project, such as cleaning out a closet, changing air filters, or organizing clothing. There's also deep cleaning tasks on that list. You can find a master list of them in the beginning of the planner, but it is included under the daily section on the weekly layout, too. There's other useful checklists included. Some examples: having visitors, holiday baking, and lawn care.
Who This Planner Might Be For and How I Plan to Use It
As a stay-at-home mom, I loved this planner so much. As a work-from-home mom, I think I'll love it even more. Since I want to divide up chores more evenly, having the checklists for everyone to see will help with that tremendously. No one can say they don't know what needs to be done, or need to ask how to help. It even has a place for me to log expenses for the day (which is one of my 2024 goals)! I can also write in my menu plan, and something I'm grateful for each day. I also love the included Bible reading plan, though you don't have to use it.
While this planner is geared towards women (like so many are), men can make this work for them too. It's perfect for anyone looking to have a better grasp on home management. You can be a homemaker, no matter what your lifestyle looks like, and this planner proves it. Passionate Penny Pincher also makes a work planner, that is an hourly layout, if that's something you'd prefer.
Overall, the Passionate Penny Pincher Home Planner is one of my favorite planners I've ever used, and I've used a lot. The layout is unique, and I've never come across anything else like it. Would you use this planner? Let me know in the comments!
